Map of the Wasatch-Cache National Forest

A sample from my Wasatch Collection

Like most of this website, this section is segmented by geography.  While my travels have only led me to a small piece of this range, my goal is explore all of it.

The Wasatch Range, home perhaps to the single greatest collection of mountain peaks, begins abruptly where the valley ends, rising almost 7,000 feet above the valley floor to heights ranging from 10,000 to 11,877 feet.  Encompassing two National Forests, the Wasatch-Cache and Uinta, the range extends over 300 miles from Tremonton in the north to Nephi in the south.  Seven Federally-classified Wilderness Areas, comprising 165,000 square acres (258 square miles), are small as compared to the millions available but important and staggeringly beautiful nonetheless.  They represent freedom from the city and are an outdoor enthusiast's playground.
